In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
